Exterior and interior features on the Seltos for rough terrain
The 2021 Seltos is offered in five trims: LX, S, EX, S Turbo, and SX Turbo. All trims except the S come standard with Dynamax™ All-Wheel Drive (AWD) with Lock Mode to give the Seltos a better grip on some of the more difficult surfaces. This feature is optional on the S trim. Torque Vectoring Corner Control (TVCC) helps the vehicle get around corners in an easier fashion, and that’s a feature you will find on each Seltos model.
If you want to have raw power for those off-roads, you’ll likely want to equip the Seltos with the available 1.6-liter DOHC 175-horsepower engine, which is offered in the S Turbo and SX Turbo models. Each Seltos model allows you to choose from three different drive modes: Normal, Eco, and Sport. Sport will probably be your best option for heading off the highway and into your favorite camping site. Each Seltos also offers up a capable suspension. Up front: MacPherson Struts and Gas Shock Absorbers. On the rear of the S model is a Coupled Torsion Beam Axle (CTBA) and Gas Shock Absorbers, and on the rest of the lineup, the rear suspension is independent multi-link.
On the LX, S, EX, and S Turbo variations of the Seltos, you can make good use of a dual-level cargo floor for bringing more of your outdoor gear. Other available features, like Downhill Brake Control and Hill-Start Assist Control, give you another bit of an edge when it comes time to head off the paved roads.
