2018 Kia Sorento named 2017 Top Safety Pick+ by IIHS

The Top Safety Pick+ award is given by the IIHS for vehicles receiving a “Good” score on five crashworthiness tests: small and moderate overlap frontal areas, side and roof strength, and head restraints and seat safety. Additionally, vehicles must also have an available front crash prevention system earning an “Advanced” or “Superior” rating, and may grade lower than “Acceptable” in headlight testing.

The 2018 Kia Sorento features a 181-hp, 2.3-liter Gasoline Direct Injection I-4 engine, as well as an available 240-hp, 2.0-liter Turbocharged Gasoline Direct Injection I-4 engine. Dynamax full-time all-wheel drive is available as an optional upgrade. Other features of the 2018 Sorento include an available 8-inch touchscreen navigation system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a premium Harman Kardon audio system, and for the first time, an available third row.

The 2018 Kia Sorento offers more advanced safety technology offered as standard equipment than ever before, including previously unavailable features like Blind Spot Detection and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
