Both the 2021 Kia Telluride and 2021 Volkswagen Atlas have three rows of seats. This is where the two vehicles start to diverge. People visiting Concord Kia and are interested in the 2021 Telluride will be able to accommodate up to eight passengers and the 2021 Atlas will only be able to hold up to seven people. A 2021 Telluride at full capacity will still have 21 cubic-feet of cargo volume and folding down the third row will make 46 cubic-feet available with up to 87 cubic-feet to be used when the interior is properly configured. While the 2021 Atlas does offer a bit more cargo volume, it does come at the cost of an additional seat.

All four trim grades will make 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. Owners will be able to tow up to 5,000 pounds.

People interested in the 2021 Atlas will have two engines to choose from. Base Atlas models will have a turbocharged four-cylinder and top-end trims will use a V-6 of their own. Neither will make as much horsepower as the Telluride. Atlas owns can also tow up to 5,000 pounds when it is outfitted properly.

Front-wheel-drive versions of the 2021 Kia Telluride will be able to post 20 miles per gallon in the city and 26 miles per gallon on the highway. Buyers choosing the all-wheel-drive model of the 2021 Telluride will record up to 19 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. A base model Atlas will post approximately the same fuel economy scores as the base Telluride and an Atlas with the V-6 engine will get significantly fewer miles per gallon than the standard Telluride.
