No matter where you go on this Earth, you are bound to find some strange laws made by governing bodies. Legislatures everywhere pass hundreds of laws and ordinances to keep a sense of order to society. Without laws, we would live in an anarchic, mayhem-ridden world. While most laws are for the betterment of society, some are just downright weird and don’t have any real rhyme or reason. Check out some of those that are in effect here in California. You might also be interested in: Things to pack in an emergency roadside kit Weird road laws in California Women aren’t allowed to drive while wearing a housecoat Better known as a nighty, housecoats are not permitted to wear while driving in the State of California, and we have no idea why. We’re not sure of the number of times this law has actually been enforced, but women can allegedly be subject to expensive fines. So, ladies, keep that in mind next time you get the urge to head to a late-night drive-thru. View our inventory No jumping from a moving vehicle... at 65 mph The City of Glendale features an ordinance that prohibits a person from leaving a car that is traveling at 65 mph or faster. This law begs two questions. Is it okay to leap from a vehicle going 64 mph? And was there a prominent issue with people jumping out of cars at high speeds that served as the inspiration for that law? In any case, in you’re driving in Glendale, or anywhere at all, don’t jump out of a moving vehicle. You can’t hunt from a moving vehicle This seems like a sensible law, but again, it makes you wonder about what happened to make this law necessary. Hunters who shoot an animal from a moving vehicle are subject to heavy fines and a misdemeanor charge. Read more just for fun posts

We'd be lying if we said that this isn't one of our favorite times of the year; the NBA Playoffs kick off on April 14, and our hometown Warriors will once again be making an appearance. We're proud here at Concord Kia to be affiliated with an official sponsor of the Dubs, and we're excited to see if they can make a fourth straight appearance in the Finals. We've taken it upon us to get #DubsNation ready for another run, so we've put together Five Reasons the Golden State Warriors will win the 2018 NBA Finals; get ready! Prior Playoff Experience Ever since the 2014 playoffs, we've become accustomed to seeing the Warriors pick up steam and make their charge at just the right time. In fact, last year, their 16-1 run to a championship set an NBA record for the least amount of games played to win it all. With a deep roster with plenty of experience in big moments, there's no reason to believe that they couldn't do it again this time around. Best Backcourt in Basketball There will be a bit of time before Steph Curry is able to make it back from injury, but there's no denying that when you put him and Klay Thompson in the same backcourt together, the results are lethal. The Splash Brothers are deadly from three-point range which, in and of itself, is enough to keep Golden State in most games. Home Court Advantage Though their playoff fate has just about been sealed as the second overall seed in the Western Conference, the road to the Finals still goes through Oakland. More importantly, Oracle Arena is one of the most electric atmospheres in the Association, making it tough for any team to come inside and play well, much less win. Kevin Durant Though KD is sometimes considered a traitor for his unceremonious departure from Oklahoma City in the summer of 2017, the intangibles of his game can't be understated. He's one of the best scorers in the NBA, and a player that can change a game just with his style alone. That's enough to keep most opposing coaches up all night, searching for an answer. Interior Defense In recent years the NBA has undergone a shift towards scoring-oriented game plans, but the defense is still what wins championships. In Draymond Green – the reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year – and Zaza Pachulia, the Warriors have an imposing presence for big men. Forcing contested shots and bad passes is always key to victory, especially when the stakes are high. See us today to get behind the wheel of the 2018 Kia Optima, the official vehicle of the NBA!

Kia is known for some pretty memorable commercials. The Kia Soul, itself, is responsible for a handful of commercial adventures featuring the iconic hamster. These commercials have also historically featured some of the biggest music hits of the year, including "Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO in 2011, "Gangnam Style" by Psy in 2012, and "Animals" by Maroon 5 in 2014. The new turbocharged 2017 Kia Soul commercial features another great party anthem, but this one has a little bit more of an edge than previous commercials. Perhaps it's because of the power of the new turbocharged 1.6-liter engine in the 2017 Kia Soul Exclaim (!). Check Out Our Inventory of New Kia Soul Models!
