Thanksgiving Events in Concord, CA Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and for those looking to burn a few calories before the feast begins, the Concord-area offers a couple of fun runs allowing residents to raise money for local causes before a day of gorging on turkey and stuffing. Check out two events taking place Thanksgiving day near Concord. more Concord Turkey Trot | Concord, CA The third-annual Concord Turkey Trot takes place at Todos Santos Park in Downtown Concord on Thursday, November 23. The event is presented by Calvary Temple Church, with proceeds benefiting Compassion Outreach. The Concord Turkey Trot is limited to 1500 participants and includes a 5k and 10k run and walk, as well as a free Kids Dash for children under the age of 10. Packet pick up will begin at 6:45 a.m. on race day. The 10k run begins at 8 a.m. with the 5k run and walk beginning at 8:10 a.m. Prizes will be given to the top overall male and female finisher, as well as the top three finishers in each age group. Forma Gym Turkey Trot | Walnut Creek, CA The Forma Gym Turkey Trot 2017 takes place at Civic Park (1375 Civic Drive, Downtown Walnut Creek) on Thursday, November 23.
