How many people can fit inside the 2022 Kia Carnival?
When the Kia Carnival goes on sale in the next few months, one thing will become abundantly clear very quickly, this is not your parents’ minivan. In fact, Kia is largely doing away with the term, minivan, and is internally classifying the new Carnival as a Multi-Purpose Vehicle. On the outside, the new MPV will share a bold aesthetic shared by several of the automaker’s latest crossover SUVs. Updates in Kia nomenclature aside, one of the most common questions our team of product experts has been hearing is, ‘How many people can fit inside the 2022 Kia Carnival?’ Just like its retired Sedona predecessor, the 2022 Carnival will be able to accommodate seven or eight passengers, depending on how it’s outfitted. 2022 Kia Carnival Seating Options
While all 2022 Kia Carnival models coming to the Concord Kia showroom will have three rows of seats, the maximum seating capacity will vary depending on which of the several trim grades a customer takes home. Most models will feature the automaker’s “Slide-Flex” seat that will allow for eight passengers to ride in the 2022 Carnival and use one of the most adaptable second-row of seats in this class. The Slide-Flex seat can be pulled forward to allow the front passenger to reach children in car seats using the second row or it can be configured as a useable table.
Upper trims with heated and ventilated VIP seating in the second row will have the seven-passenger configuration. These seats will also feature power adjustment controls, wing-out headrests and extendable leg rests.
Cargo Volume Measurements
All four 2022 Kia Carnival trim grades (LX, EX, SX and SX Prestige) will have at least 40.2 cubic-feet of cargo volume to offer behind the third row. However, the LX, EX, and SX models can make up to 145.1 cubic-feet available when the interior is properly configured. The top-of-the-line SX Prestige model will have up to 86.9 cubic-feet to use because some of its seats are fixed in place.
